speak no evil // vitri & mizuki
Hearing an all-too-familiar pair of voices, Mizuki lifted his head quickly, expecting exactly the two he saw. Immediately, his gaze turned from glassy to glaring. It was a real shame he’d lost the ability to speak when he visibly grit his teeth — he couldn’t say anything he wanted to, and the most he could do was huff through his breath no matter how he tried to growl.
What do they want? What more do they need from him? They’d already ruined so much. But none of those questions could be asked without words. Once again, he curled his fists, feeling tense. There was the chance they would just talk at him, and not have anything particular they wanted from him, but the desire to punch one or both in the face was high anyway. It’s just that… the last thing he needed was to cause a commotion, especially when he couldn’t speak to explain himself.
Mizuki knew he could just run away, but that would be the coward’s way out. He didn’t have any reason to run away. All the things he wanted to say, yell, curse at these two would have to wait until he could voice them.
That is, if his vocal cords ever did start working properly as quickly as they had stopped.
A sickeningly sweet smile played on Virus’s lips as he surveyed the redhead. He hadn’t said a word. Of course, whatever was on Mizuki’s mind could be easily read on his face, even when he was trying to hide it. The pathetic boy wasn’t as skilled at hiding his emotions as he thought he was. In Virus’s opinion, at least.
"Nothing to say?" Virus said pleasantly, looking fairly amused. "How uncharacteristic of you."
"You look mad," Trip commented.
"Do we make you nervous?"
Virus knew full well that him and Trip did make him nervous. After everything they put Mizuki through, Virus knew that Mizuki would never recover, let alone forgive them. Perhaps it would have been kinder to kill him. Of course, it was much more fun to watch the boy suffer.
